The Spymaster’s Role in the Balance

While Senoki ruled the City of Veils with charm and charisma, the Spymaster worked from the shadows to keep Ethonis in balance. Her network, the Broken Mirrors, was an invisible hand guiding the course of events, often thwarting Senoki’s more excessive plans. Yet despite her opposition to many of Senoki’s habits, there was a strange fondness between the two. The Spymaster, with all her secrets and schemes, could not help but admire Senoki’s unrelenting spirit. His arrogance, his lavish parties, even his unthinking grand gestures—though often at odds with her own beliefs—made the multiverse a more vibrant place.
